Mossie's Treatment Fund

Hi, this is Jen and Katie. As many of you know, we are mommies to a very sweet and perfect cat, Moss, better known as Mossie. On July 3rd, Moss started limping out of the blue and pooping blood. We took her to the vet immediately, where we got bloodwork done and x-rays, which both came out normal. She was given pain medication and antibiotics. This bill was $1,000 and was just the beginning of our concern for Moss as well as the amount we will need to spend.

Since then, Moss has not been able to walk at all or go to the bathroom. We have taken her to 3 different vets and emergency rooms, all needing us to see a different one for more care. We have been told it is a neurological issue and gave us the most likely diagnosis which is a lymphoma, or cancerous tumor on her spine. We are hoping that it is rather a spinal infection or a slipped disc. The only way to know for sure is via MRI and a full workup from a cat neurologist. She will also need a catheter as her bladder is at risk of rupturing after many tries to relieve it from ourselves and vets. Moss is awaiting a bed at Oradell Animal Hospital and will need to stay overnight to be transferred to neurology for an MRI either tomorrow or Friday. This will be a very lengthy and anxious stay for Moss and us. The total cost of these tests and treatments could range from $5,000 or more.

We are absolutely heartbroken over Mossie's illness, especially of not receiving final confirmation of her diagnosis just yet, and the last thing we want to be worried about is whether we can afford her tests and treatments right now. We hate to ask, but anything anyone could give would really help, even donating your daily coffee fund to Moss for a day would truly help her get the testing and treatment she needs.
