Dear friends and supporters,

In the wake of Cyclone Jasper, our cherished gymnastics club, nestled in the heart of Mossman, Far North Queensland, has been left in ruins. We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and a desperate plea for help.

We are a non-profit organisation that has been delivering gymnastics programs to our local shire for more than 55 years, with over 280 members, both young and old. The major flooding event following Cyclone Jasper has has inundated our building, causing all of our flooring to be unusable as well as much of the equipment.

The devastation is heartbreaking – our once vibrant and lively space now just an empty shell. It is estimated that to repair the damage and replace equipment will cost at least $300,000. The task ahead of us is colossal, and we now find ourselves at a crossroads.

Heartbreakingly, we've had to temporarily put off many of our coaches and staff and remain non-operational while we restore and rebuild. Like many businesses and organisation in Mossman, our insurance does not cover us for flood damage. Whilst we are doing everything we can to dispute the insurance situation, we are:

- Actively seeking an alternative location to continue to deliver gymnastics programs.

- Seeking support from Local and State ministers and representives.

- Seeking support from Gymnastics Australia.

- Applying for grants.

We face an uphill battle to restore what was once a thriving gymnastics hub for babies, children, adults and seniors alike. Our dream is to rise from the debris, but we cannot do it alone or rely on grants.
