Mother (43) Daughter (23) Fighting Stage 4 Cancer

Our dear sweet friend, Maria Maloof, and her beautiful daughter, Mya, are both fighting their own cancer diagnoses. Besides lots of Prayers, we'd like to help out their family financially with this GoFundMe campaign.

Maria has worked at Syracuse University for approx 25 years. She is the kindest, sweetest, smiling, positive person, and friend to so many. This is Maria's 2nd battle with cancer in her young life and she has a hard battle in front of her.

Maria, and her husband, Joe, have two children, Mya, and Jacob. While Mya was attending Nazareth College, she was diagnosed with Melanoma. During her final year at Nazareth, where she had remarkable grades and played field hockey, Mya was also receiving treatment for her cancer. Mya graduated from Nazareth College with a Master's in Speech Pathology in May 2023 and moved to Albany to begin her career when she found that her cancer had spread. Mya recently moved back home with her family to begin receiving Hospice care.

The Maloof family needs our prayers, and now with both Mom and Daughter fighting for their lives, we're hoping to raise financial support to relieve that burden from their thoughts. The funds will be used to help with out-of-pocket medical expenses, gas and meals during treatments and hospital stays, and for Joe (husband and Dad) to take time off as needed, to be with his family. Also, funeral expenses, if needed.
