Mother and Daughters Head on Collision Recovery

On Monday, December 11th, 2023 Danita Tidwell Drayton and her two daughters, Janay and Karnesha Tidwell were involved in a head on collision in Columbia, SC. A car traveling in the opposite direction, passing a stopped school bus collided with Drayton and her daughters. All passengers were severely injured. The car became ingulfed in flames and Drayton, who was pinned in by the car battery and engine was unable to remove herself. Due to this accident Drayton is now starting the recovery process as she suffers from two broken legs, crushed knees and ankles, as well as a broken arm. Her daughter, Janay suffers from a broken bone in her chest and back. The youngest daughter, Karnesha suffers from a broken bone in her spine and a broken arm. Drayton and her daughters have undergone surgeries and will likely have to be hospitalized for some time; as well as wheelchair bound. As they recover from this accident the family will need assistance with medical bills, monthly home bills/expenses, and converting their home into wheelchair accessible. In addition to her two daughters, Drayton also has a 14 year old son and a toddler granddaughter in the home.
