Hi, everyone. My name is Melanie Cangialosi. Me and my sister, Julia, as well as my mother, Jennifer, have been living in an unstable home for most of our lives. Our biggest stressor, my father, has caused irreversible damage to our mental health and stability over the course of over a decade. We’re trapped within a cycle of abuse (both mental and physical) that we can’t escape and we desperately need the help to move on, heal, and start a new life together.
Due to the pandemic, and a stressful and traumatic home environment, it’s been very hard to maintain a steady job. Especially since we only have one car between the four of us. The car is also hanging by a thread. Some days, it won’t even start. So, to say the least, we’re at a loss and feel trapped.
I recently got diagnosed with Bipolar disorder, PTSD, and Borderline Personality Disorder. We all suffer greatly when it comes to our mental health. My mother struggles with depression. We all do, really. Sometimes it’s hard to even get through the day or take care of ourselves.
We will take any help you can provide. Even just sharing our story would mean the world to us. Our goal is to get an apartment away from my father and be able to support ourselves without him in the picture. Thank you for reading through this, donating, and sharing our story.
