Mother and two children held hostage in Germany

*New Update (as of December 15, 2022): Velesha is in the United States working to pay lawyer fees for her two U.S. lawyers and German lawyer, as well as show the state of Maryland that she is and has always been a fit and very present mother. Her two children are still in Germany with her abuser, Ivan Beauchamps. She tried everything she could to get them to the U.S., but has been unsuccessful.

Velesha (Burke) Beauchamps is a mother with two children in need of your help getting out of Germany and back to the USA. Velesha and her children fled their home in Sindelfingen on December 25, 2021 based on domestic abuse and violence from her husband, Ivan Beauchamps. For example, for months, her husband locked doors to rooms in the house, except Velesha's separate bedroom and the bedrooms of the children, restricting access to basic needs and technology at times.

 

 

*Velesha's story*

After leaving our home to seek asylum and safety, I could not fly back to the USA (where I am a citizen) because my husband stole the children’s passports months prior, and has since refused to return them.

 

As a result, I contacted the German police to let them know my children and I fled domestic abuse and were in a safehouse for protection. I also reached out to the United States Consulate in Germany for assistance, in an attempt to obtain emergency passports for the children. But to my disappointment, they were not issued. It was then I discovered there has been a travel ban placed on my children and I.

 

Most recently, my husband's German lawyers summoned me to court and sadly, the Judge ruled in his favor, without considering that I am their daily primary caregiver.

The decision was made in spite of my children and I living away from my husband in a safehouse. I am presently in the process of contesting the decision.

 

Please help me and my kids return to the United States. There, we have family support and a village of love and protection.
