Single Mom Stage 4 Metastasized Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kassaundra Jackson and I’m raising money for my mom, Tabetha Johnson, to help offset the cost of cancer treatment.
In early February of 2019, my mom felt a painful lump on her right breast. She immediately called the doctor and scheduled an appointment. The doctor ordered a mammogram and ultrasound for the following day. The doctor came in and told her they suspected cancer and ordered a biopsy. The biopsy results came back on February 14th and breast cancer was confirmed.
The following week my mom meet with the cancer board to discuss her treatment plan. She was told removing the tumor followed by radiation was the best option and that she had caught it in time.
During the procedure, the doctor noticed the tumor was actually triple in size of what they had originally thought and found additional tumors in the breast and on the chest wall. These tumors did not show up on the mammogram or ultrasound.
The pathology results came back showing positive lymph nodes which led to the decision to do chemotherapy and order an MRI. The MRI came back showing a 4th tumor within the chest wall. After that, a cat scan and bone scan were performed confirming cancer has spread to the ribs and possibly the lungs. My mom started chemo early May
Now imagine being a single mother of two and telling your kids that you have breast cancer.
As my moms only daughter, hearing that she has breast cancer broke my heart.
To give you a little background on my mom when she had my brother and I, she was going to school at night and working full time during the day. As we got older, she would take us to all of our practices and games. We both played two sports at a time. My mom never complained about doing any of it, she loved it!
She does not like handouts and works hard for everything we have. My mom would give the shirt off her back to anyone that needed it. If you have ever met her, you would know she is one of the sweetest, nicest, heartwarming people on the planet. She would do anything to make sure everyone was okay and taken care of before herself.
My mom has lived a fairly healthy lifestyle and has never smoked. We have no history of cancer in our family and for her to have cancer is unexpected.
The funding from your contributions will go directly towards assisting my mom with her prescription costs, uninsured medical expenses, and other costs related to her care.
She will need all the love and support as she goes through this tough journey. She has touched so many with her genuine heart. It's now our turn to show her how loved she is and give her the added strength she needs to beat cancer.
We thank you all in advance for your kind generosity and know my mom will be eternally grateful for any help she's able to get!
If you are unable to contribute at this time please post the link below on your social media feed and pray that my mom will have a strong recovery!
