Mother of 1 year old in critical condition

Our dear friend and coworker Nina, who is a frontline worker fighting against Covid-19, needs your help at this time. On 4/7/2020, Nina was driving her beautiful daughter Breanna to the hospital. En route, she noticed Breanna wasn’t responding. Nina, as a Respiratory Therapist that sees this everyday on the job pulled over and had to perform emergency CPR on her until the ambulance arrived. Breanna is currently at the hospital in very critical condition fighting for her life. As some of you know, Nina works at the hospital per diem, meaning if she does not work, she does not get paid and is unable to claim pay for family sick leave. She needs to put her care for others on hold so that she can care for her family during this time.

Her Respiratory Therapy family is humbly asking for help and our intention is to help pay for Breanna’s medical bills as we anticipate this to be a long journey for their family. Nina will also need help for herself as she is unable to return back to work so that she can be with her daughter as well as help take care of her granddaughter (Breanna’s 1 y/o daughter) during this tragic time. UPDATE: 4/10/2020- Unfortunately, Breanna was taken off of life support today and has sadly passed away. We have increased our goal in order to help Nina with funeral expenses so that she can lay her daughter to rest. She is so thankful for all of the outpouring love and support that she has received from all of you during this difficult time.
