Mother of Two Loses Home in Fire

This fundraiser has been created to help my sister Megan and her two daughters, who suffered the loss of their home due to a fire.

Megan has been serving as a nurse for over a decade. Through her passion, she has devoted much of life to the health and care of others, while remaining an incredible mother. While working, she is raising two young daughters, ages 4 and 2, who are her world.

Megan purchased her childhood home to raise her daughters in. The home has been in the family for nearly 30 years and it was her desire to keep it in the family. She has spent many years remodeling and making it her own, and has done all of the work herself to make the home the best for her family.

Tragically, on July 14th, 2023, the home was destroyed by a fire. It consumed all of her and her daughters possessions, and decades of family keepsakes. The fire striped away everything the girls have known and loved.

They left the night of the fire with the clothes on their backs and in their family vehicle. They have been completely displaced and have nothing. She has supported her younger siblings by providing them a place to stay in their times of need, at the time of the fire her college student sister was living at her house for the summer, and also lost everything.

Megan now has to rebuild and restore their life, which could take a year or more. She needs the support of her family, friends and community to get through this unbelievably trying time and help ease the immediate financial burden placed on her.
