Mother robbed from all her savings

Hello, I hope this message finds everyone doing well during these challenging times. I write this on behalf of my mother. Last week (per her usual routine of going to volunteer for the YMCA every Thursday), she was walking back home when she got approached by two individuals asking for a big favor. My mother refused several times, but they were quick and very persistent with the story they sold her. Long story short, these scammers/thieves persuaded my mother to help out with $3,000 dollars. Unfortunately, my mother fell victim to their scam and let all her savings go to these thieves. She had been working so hard to save that money, working double and sometimes without a day off. It aggravates me that there are people like this in this world. Taking advantage of people with a heart. My goal is not only to help my mom recover some of the money she lost but also to spread awareness for those who have vulnerable parents like my mom. I hope this story brings awareness and gets some of those thieves caught, my mom reported this to the police, but I'm sure that won't do much. Hola, espero que este mensaje los encuentre bien a todos. Les escribo con mucha tristeza en mi corazon, de saber que ahi gente tan cruel en el mundo y de saber que se aprovecharon de mi madre. La semana pasada al salir de el YMCA, como cual quier otro dia (mi mama es voluntaria) dos personas le preguntaron por ayuda. Aunque mi mama les dijo que andaba en prisa, la persiguieron y le suplicaron por ayuda. Mi mama es el tipo de persona que tiene un corazon blando y decidio ayudarles. A ultimo le quitaron todos sus ahorros ($3,000 dolares) dinero que ella trabajo muchisimas horas sin dias de descanso. Mi meta es no no mas ayudarla en recuprar un poco de lo que perdio, pero ayudar a otras personas y espero que la experiencia de mi mama les ayude a evitar este tipo de maldades a personas con padres fragiles como mi mama.
