Mother & toddler around the globe!
I always wanted to travel and tried my best to make that dream come true.
I’ve worked hard, even migrated to different countries, saved all I could. So I have travelled to beautiful places, always on a budget, but happiest when on the move.
Two years ago I , together with my French boyfriend, started a trip, that we’ve hoped would take us around the globe.
But after only five months we’ve discovered I’m pregnant and soon after that, that the pregnancy is high risk. I had to come back home, lay in my bed for six long months and pray. It was a very difficult time, with a lot of costs we couldn’t predict. But Mila was born healthy and as perfect as any mother could hope for her baby.
Since that time we have travelled with her around Europe. In 11 months, she has already visited 13 countries… but it’s not all so fensy and sparkling. ;) We (my partner and I) still work very hard, still try to save as much as possible, still dream about adventoures. But there is rent to pay, bellies to be filled, diapers to be bought… and dreams that are slowly fainting. Time’s passing by so quickly, my smart and smiley Mila will soon not be a todler, her tickets will not be so cheap, and all this places I was dreaming to show her will become more and more distansed, because of financial reasons again.
This is why I want try to collect money for that one mother-daughter trip around the globe: only few (around 10) countries, only for two-three months, after which I must come back to a „normal” life (whatever „normal” is).
I give myself time till February 2017 to try to collect enought money to move in April.
The costs include flight tickets, travel insurance, estimated cost of airbnb/hostels (I will still use couchsurfing where possible and safe), entry tickets.
My calculations show we would have around 50euros budget per day, maybe a bit less. I did travel cheaper, but even with a traveller spirit, I'm still a mother first and want to make sure my tiny daughter is safe and happy.
And if you wonder what my boyfriend thinks of that… well, it was his idea. ;) I never wanted to use any crowdfunding platform, since there are so many people in need- didn’t want to seem greedy, when I could work to make my own dreams come true. But I’ve finally came to the point to realize, I will not be able to do it by my own. „There is no shame in asking” –he told me, so I’ve decided to listen. For change.
If I don't ask for your help, this trip will never happen.
Would you, please, help to make my dream come true?
