Mothers coming together to help Jone’t!

Hello Friends,

I wanted to create this Go Fund Me page for a very special friend of mine who is in dire need of help. She and her family have overcome so many obstacles and are now facing their toughest one yet. This amazing woman was adopted to a single mother at the age of 6 months old and has been all the better for it. She grew up on the North side of Jacksonville, and pursed her schooling at the art school Douglas Anderson where she really honed in on her love of the arts. Her mother provided the very best life for her and her siblings. ( Which by the way she did with such ease and grace ☺️)

Jonet was a thriving single mother, caring and supporting her daughter Alba full time until recently when the family got a crippling medical diagnosis for her mother. On April of 2021, just a week after Alba’s 7th birthday, Jone’t mom was diagnosed with a glioblastoma. Which is a cancerous brain tumor that is currently incurable. Her mother passed out one day at her nieces house and woke up in the hospital to the news of this brain tumor and it has been a world wind ever since. They have done months of radiation, chemo, immunotherapy and more but the life expectancy for this type of tumor that the doctor gave was 4-15 months. Her mother is on month 13 and the doctors have told her they do not advise her do any further treatment as nothing is working at the movement and her body is wearing down doing the treatments. Jonet is her mothers care giver during the day as she cannot be alone because is prone to seizures and fainting due to the tumor, and they do not have resources or coverage to have a full time care taker come in to watch her mother. This has become the biggest challenge as Jonet had to leave her corporate job in nov 2021 to be able to stay home and take care of her mother as her only other option was to return to the office full time at her previous job. I have personally sat with Jonet and watched her take on jobs she doesn’t want to, keeping a smile on her face and pushing through these times. She is looking for remote work to help supplement her income while she cares for her mother. She has the weight of the world on her shoulders and it is becoming more difficult for her to pay her monthly expenses during this season. Please join me hand and hand & heart and heart together to give her the gift of love and support as she takes care of her mother in these final months, while being able to support her little girl. This will help keep food on their table, a roof over their head and a vehicle for them for the next few months.
