Mother-Son Healing: A Community Call
Donation protected
Brothers and Sisters, my grandmother, who was my mother's mom, died on February 1, 2001, of ovarian cancer. It was a horrible tragedy because this should have been detected long before the physicians discovered it. Practically twenty-one years to the day, my mother, who is 82 and has frequent doctor's appointments, received the same diagnosis.
On top of this, I was diagnosed with advanced-stage prostate cancer just 6 months ago. Mom and I don't want hormone therapy, chemotherapy, or invasive cancer surgery. We have chosen to entrust our cancer treatment to Dr. Theodore Watkins, an M.D. who is also a naturopathic doctor. He is a great physician because he isn't pushing failed medical treatments that medical insurers cover. Despite his highly successful record, patients have to pay out of pocket.
Also, mom and I are going on a mother-and-son healing road trip to the best HIFU (high-intensity-focused-ultrasound) therapy, possibly in Austin, Texas, hopefully as soon as funds permit. My insurance may not fully cover my treatment.
My mother, my late father, and my late grandmother and grandfather served the community for 98 years. My service began in 1969, helping my mother with addicts and drunkards. As we have helped others, we ask that you help us in whatever way you can. If you can give money, do so; if you can share this appeal, do so; if you can pray, please pray. Mom has beaten cancer twice. She's strong in her faith, as am I. You can also email me regarding alternative ways to help at wrandyshortATgmail.com.
