Motorcycle accident caused by Uninsured driver

Donation protected
My father, Jeromy Heavrin was riding his Victory motorcycle on a nice sunny day headed to my home to visit his kids and grandkids. On Saturday the 16th of May at about 2:50 PM he didn't know it would be his last time starting his motorcycle.

He was heading NE on Kentucky Ave in Indianapolis IN. Stopped at a red light on Kentucky and holt rd and then it turned green. Just getting up to speed When a driver headed SW pulled out in front of him trying to make a left turn onto 4th street.

Practically a head on collision, causing my father to be ejected off the motorcycle traveling through his plexiglass windshield. Over the mans F150 hood and into the next lane of traveling traffic. Where a man named Dave was driving his vehicle and didnt realize he was going to witness the worst accident of his life that day. Dave said "I would have ran him over if I didn't have racing experience and slammed on my breaks"

Dave jumped out his truck an immediately checked on my dad, an he didn't get a response at first. So he immediately called 911. An at 3:12pm the officer arrived on scene. Then EMT arrived an cut all his clothes off stabilized him as best as possible an rushed him to the hospital in a responsive but physically critical state.

At 5pm the first family member received a picture what looked like my dads motorcycle. An they immediately called me an sent me the photo, I instantly knew it was him. So I rushed to the scene and nothing was there. So I traveled to the tow yard where I caught the motorcycle and truck being brought into the yard.

It looked horrible, and still no one had heard from the doctor or my dad. So I called around at hospital an i was able to find where he was taken. An unfortunately no visitors due to COVID so the entire family waited by the phone for a call. Finally at 134am on the 17th I received a call from my dad. Dazed and confused, but able to speak. He didn't know what happened, asked where he was. Said he loved us, and fell asleep.

On monday after several conversations with doctors. We learned he had a broken right femur that was rushed to the ER on Saturday when he arrived for a 8 hour surgery, And that the left leg was stabilized but was damaged extremely and was unable to be fixed. His nose also broken. And 2 weeks later after they lightened the meds found a broken left thumb. Dad was in the hospital for 2 weeks then transfered to rehab for a week.

An he finally is home. With a new wheel chair, still unknown if his left leg will be used again as its stabilized but not fixed. His femur is healing with weekly physical therapy, and his nose and thumb are still healing as well..

We just found out the other day the other driver had no insurance, so not only is my dad out of work for a good amount of time but he's now racking up medical bills and living expenses.

The police report states the driver of the f150 was at fault due to a camera at a nearby store. Ive spoken to several witnesses and all have said the driver never got out of his F150 vehicle to check on my dad.  MY DAD, The man he just hit on a motorcycle was laying on the ground hurt badly and he just sat there. Knowing he didn't have insurance, he gave a fake policy # to the officer.

So I'm a starting this blindly with no real goal in mind but just know that some have requested a way to help. An this is all I could come up with to help him atleast survive financially.

He is a single hard working father. He has full custody of my little sister age of 12 to care for.

Every physical therapy day he stands for a few minutes to work out his muscles and bones that was broken in his right femur. He's still unable to put any weight on his left leg at all, next appointment is the 16th of June to decide the next step. Many more surgeries are said to be expected.
