Motorcycle Accident - Zach's Fundraiser

Hello,

Our close friend Zach was involved in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday July 26th, 2022. Knocked out on impact, he did not awake until he was in the ambulance being transported to the hospital. Zach was thankfully wearing a helmet, but as a result of the accident, he has suffered a brain bleed, 5 fractured ribs, a punctured lung, 3 fractured vertebrae in his upper back / lower neck, a broken pinky, and road rash on arms and legs. He has a $10,000 deductible to be paid out of pocket, with expenses from the initial 2 day ICU / Hospital stay plus future expenses for specialist appointments and physical therapy.

In May, Zach and his girlfriend Brye welcomed a newborn baby boy into the world. Brye was soon due to return to work from Maternity Leave, and Zach was supposed to start a delayed Paternity Leave to continue to care for their newborn baby boy. With Zach's recovery and limited mobility, they are unsure when he will be able to care for his newborn. With Brye unable to extend her Maternity Leave, they may need to unexpectedly put their baby in a daycare which they had not initially budgeted for.

Zach and Brye are close friends of ours, Zach being the best man at our wedding. They never want to ask for a helping hand, and we want to do this fundraiser for them to hopefully help ease their stress about their current financial status and focus on recovery.
