Motorcycle Ride - UK to Chinese Border (Pakistan)

A grueling but epic journey from the UK to the border of China in Pakistan through the unforgiving, most dangerous Karakoram range. Covering three continents and a total of 16,000 miles / 26,000 km during this ride, set for the first week of May (provisionally) and expected to last around 8 weeks for this round trip. 

 

This will be a testing and taxing trip, pushing me physically and mentally across distances and terrains that make you think and think again and think hard at that. I will keep you updated through daily diaries via my YouTube channel 'Traveller MIA'

The Rider

 

I am a biker who is old and tired, who see's the world crying for help, like so many of you do. For me as a father, I see children around the world suffering and often suffering in silence. It is time we accept we are a global family and try to do our bit to help our own, for all are one, all are family. 

 

So to all I say please do what ever you can to help. Most of us can never imagine the pain that children and orphans around the world go through on a daily basis, let us, the more fortunate ones try to balance this inequality by giving as much as we can. The Beneficiaries

 

The funds raised will be distributed directly to Orphans In Need. Why this charity you may ask, well being a parent myself, I feel helping the most innocent and most vulnerable is a very worthy and heartfelt cause. 

 

So, before I share the plan, let me share the thoughts behind this charitable event and other events which I plan to do in the foreseeable future. Sometimes we forget how lucky we are and we especially forget those that are extremely less fortunate. The idea behind BykerSam (Biker Samaritan) is to help those in need by raising funds through your help, for the true Samaritan's are you, the giving public.

The Plan and Details

 

1. The aim is to leave the UK in the first week of May, crossing into France via Dover.
2. Travel through Europe (France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Greece and Bulgaria)
3. Arrive in Turkey for the next leg all the way to this Chinese border in Pakistan.
4. Covering vast regions of Pakistan, especially the places most affected by poverty.
5. Pakistan to the UK - Return trip on Motorcycle entering the third continent of Africa via Morocco!
