Motorcyclist seriously injured after semi crash

Hey everyone. My name is Malina. One of my best friends, Andrew, was riding to work on his motorcycle yesterday when he was rear ended by a semi. They had to cut him free. He was lifelined to Methodist in Indy. He has a broken neck, femur, ankle, pelvis, bruised spleen, bad burns on one leg, internal bleeding but they've stabilized that, still intubated and on a respirator, lacerations on his brow they've stitched, thinking broken elbow and wrist too now, brain bleed has slowed and he's very responsive so that's very good. His helmet saved his life. His femur is broken in several places and he will have a rod from his hip to his knee. I have known Andrew for many years as we worked closely together as coworkers, he started dating this girl Autumn and we clicked right away. Ever since Autumn has been one of the best friends I ever had. She is expecting a baby in November. And we are super excited to raise our kids together with our other bestie. Anyways, this couple has become such a big part of our lives, from venting to cookouts, to being a great aunt and uncle to my boys, they have always been there. My heart hurts for them and their family. I know that Andrew has an extremely long and hard road ahead, and I know that he will make it out on top. But he will be out of work for a long time, with medical bills, a baby on the way, dogs, cars and a home to pay for my friends are going to need help.
