Mott Haven Bar needs your support

At the start of the Covid-19 crisis, we could not imagine where we are today, amidst a shutdown leaving us all with continued uncertainty. I still cannot believe this is all happening.
As the small business owner of Mott Haven Bar for the last 6 years, it was difficult to close our doors and leave our staff without work. Thanks to Here to Here, a nonprofit company, we were able to operate as a food distribution center by connecting us with World Central Kitchen, founded by Chef Jose Andres, providing food to various centers in the Bronx for children and families. This is helping address an immediate need for food security while also proving work for a few staff members of the restaurant.
We have been trying to apply to grants and nothing is happening. With your help, the funds raised will help purchase the food, hire more of our staff in the kitchen and be able to operate at a close to normal hours for deliveries. We didn't expect this to last this long and we would like to be able to continue to operate now and in the near future. We appreciate any support you are able to provide at this time, and we are proud to uphold our reputation in serving our community.
As part of our partnership with Chef Kwame Onwuachi, the Bronx Community Relief Effort, World Central Kitchen, the Bronx Private Investment Council, and Here to Here, we recently expanded our efforts to support students and provide more meals to first responders and health care workers. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Mott Haven Bar
