Moua Family Car Accident
Donation protected
On Saturday April 13, 2024 my sister Sandy and her husband George were involved in a horrific crash while traveling on I-5. The vehicle hydroplaned, hit a pole on the passenger side, and caught on fire. They were transported to UC Davis Medical Hospital where they were treated for severe burns, broken bones, and other critical injuries. Even though it's been over 10+ days since the accident, they both remain in the hospital for their injuries. Sandy is receiving treatment for her broken pelvis and ribs, extensive burns to her face and body, and bleeding in the brain. George suffers from severe extensive burns, especially on his right hand and face.
This tragedy happened to two truly amazing God-fearing, family and community-oriented people. They truly exemplify God’s love; faithfully serving their church, organizing fundraisers for missions or those in need, and being a source of comfort and support for family and friends during difficult times.
Friends and family describe Sandy:
• If there was a picture to define selflessness, it would be of Sandy.
• If you had no shirt, Sandy would give you the shirt off her back and never expect anything in return.
• Sandy has an amazing ability to make any event come to life, beautifully.
• When Sandy smiles, you can feel her kindness radiate through you.
• Everyone who has met Sandy, loves her and feels her warmth.
• Sandy truly is the kindest and most selfless soul in this world.
Friends and family describe George:
• George has a serious personality but at the same time, is the funniest guy who comes up with the weirdest ways to make people laugh. He also has a contagious laugh.
• George isn’t materialistic and would happily wear the same t-shirt for years and rather spend money on others in need. He is the humblest person.
• George is a great listener and genuinely listens when you speak to him.
• George is personable; he will take the time to sit with you and have a full-blown conversation without rushing you and while staying engaged.
Sandy and George survived and have a lengthy recovery ahead. Both of them will need physical and mental health therapy to move past this freak accident. They are the providers of their family and need your help! They will not be working while recovering, and disability will cover minimum expenses. We kindly request your financial assistance during this challenging time in their lives. We’ve all been there and they’ve helped us all during our own moments. All funds collected through GoFundMe will be used specifically to assist them with their greatest expenses and at-home medical equipment.
Sandy and George have selflessly served for many years. They exemplify being the hands and feet of Jesus and continue to point us back to giving glory to God. They also have 4 amazing children; Hunter, Kaley, Fisher, and Forrest. Please keep them in your prayers and we thank you for the continuous prayers that have already been lifted up. Thank you for your time and God Bless you!
