“Mount Matt’s Record Shoalie”
Donation protected
As many of you have already seen, a humble man who loves to fish recently broke a 44yr record on GA waters.
On December 23, 2021, Matt Mcwhorter of southeastern Alabama caught an EPIC shoal bass on the Chattahoochee River!! Not only did Matt set a new personal best, which is a big deal for someone who catches MANY big fish, but he broke the standing Georgia State record as confirmed by the DNR.
Matt spent 10 hours carefully caring for this one of a kind fish, with one goal in front of his mind, to release her alive. And somehow, he did it as I was there to witness and document!
Please join me in celebration of this achievement by donating whatever you feel comfortable contributing, to have Matt’s 8lb 5oz, 23” long, RECORD Shoalie mounted in replica by Anglers Choice, Brian Russell.
Brian is not only one of the best in the country at recreating a lifelike replica of a fish like this, but also the only one in the country who has a cast from live 23” Shoalie mold.
These replicas are extremely time consuming to create, and very expensive. But if we all chip in, Matt’s well deserved achievement will receive the “award” it deserves. And maybe you’ll have a chance to see it in person at future shows and local fundraisers for our exceptional fishery!!
