Mountainside Track & Field strives to be known as one of the best track programs in the state of Oregon. With your generous support, we want to build upon our early success and solidify our position as a top team in the Metro League and beyond. Funds raised from this campaign will directly support the student-athletes of Mountainside Track & Field. We are the most extensive sports program at Mountainside, and it takes a lot of resources to grow and maintain our program. Our goals for this year's program investments are as follows:
Improving and maintaining our equipment used for training and competitions
- New equipment investment for additional competition throwing implements, speed training equipment, and additional pole vault poles.
- Maintenance of existing equipment, including hurdles, high jump crossbars, pole vault crossbars, and jump pits
- Creation of additional training spaces for throwers, specifically discus and javelin, to allow increased training repetitions
- New team-issued gear for students athletes for 2022
- Maintain inventory of team uniforms (singlets, shorts, and rain jackets)
Investing in our coaching and leadership team to support our students with more opportunities
- Provide larger coaching staff to better cover all event groups
- Support the professional development of coaching staff
- Retain staff by funding coaching stipend(s) if funds are not available through District
