Move for Molly
Tax deductible
June 22nd will be 6 years since my Mom, Molly, passed away. For the first few years I spent this day to myself, mad. Mad at everything. Trying to understand. How could something like this happen? To someone who never did anything wrong. Someone who dedicated her life to her family, friends, and to living an active life. I came to the realization that this is not something FOR me to understand. I never will. Until I meet her again.
But this I CAN understand. Every day I wake up and am able to move, under my own power; Every day I wake up and am able to make my own decisions, and not have my day decided for me by a disease or illness...I am blessed and need to embrace it.
I began this workout a couple years ago in her honor and had a great group of people who did it with me. I will be doing the workout again on Saturday, June 18th, and invite anybody who wishes, to join me. The workout will be called “Molly” and will be based off of that particular day,
6/22/2016.
Mom loved being active but had a hard fought battle with Parkinson’s disease, which broke her down but she stayed strong for all of us.
So this day will be all about movement. If you wake up and are capable of moving under your own power; be thankful. Embrace it. Move.
The workout consists of:
6 rounds
-22 Double/Single Unders (jumprope)
- 22 Air Squats
- 22 Situps
Followed by a 2016m Row
6/22/2016
This workout is not about speed. We can also modify the workout to your needs. Today is all about movement. Enjoy it.
If you’d like to do the workout or just lend your support, we're simply asking for a $10 donation. Of course if you'd like to donate more, all proceeds will be going to the Parkinson's Foundation; a nonprofit organization that is very near and dear to our family.
Thanks everybody!
