Moving into his destiny
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Some may recognise the photo of my oldest son Timothy. This is the second appeal that I am making because we encountered a very expensive curved ball. The application for his British passport was declined, so he can only come to the UK on an ancestral visa. That is all good as he is eligible for that through his paternal grandfather. However, .......
The visa will cost in total upwards of 6000 pounds. This amount includes a health surcharge (approx 3200) for the duration of the visa (5 years) that will enable him to use the NHS; 1500 that must be into a bank account before the application, plus a TB test. I managed to use the previously raised funds to buy the plane ticket, which we still have as an open ticket, but it will have to be supplemented.
So why the urgency? Timothy has severe scoliosis of the spine. So far it has pushed his lungs to one side of his chest causing significant breathing difficulties when he walks. This has the potential if left untreated, to get worse. It could then start to affect his other organs. Treatment is not possible in South Africa without medical insurance or a great deal of money. The scoliosis is what has restricted his ability to find work in South Africa too. He needs to move to the UK as soon as possible
From a marketing point of view, this story is probably too long. But how can you put into words the value and quality of a human life? I want what is best for my son. Moving to the UK and having the opportunity to work and live a productive life as well as being able to access treatment for his condition is not just the desire of my heart but of his too.
Some have donated already and we are so grateful, but we do need more and would be so thankful to receive any amount that you feel you can give.
Bless you
