SUPPORT A MOVIE STUDIO FOR KIDS!

The MI North Studio to Open Summer 2024

The Movie Institute team was excited to move into our 6,454 square foot space in June 2023. We planned to open our movie studio for kids in the fall. As tends to happen with construction projects, multiple delays altered our timeline. We are in the home stretch after taking on significant extra cost related to each delay, and we will open in a few weeks.

As we push towards achieving the goal – delivering our first program – we also face the reality that our funding falls far short of our actual cost as the timeline and unplanned costs exceeded our contingency plan. However, the studio is coming together beautifully, and we are confident it will exceed community expectations.

MI North Studio also has significance as a proof of concept to demonstrate how The Movie Institute program would work at a larger scale in serving kids in other major cities across the country.

We are committed to delivering great programs for youth, so we are relying on faith that the community and interested parties beyond our immediate area will vigorously support the young people who will support our future.
