Moving expenses for Lori & Kids

My heart is so heavy. This is going to be long so bare with me because I'm being completely vulnerable right now.

Last Saturday our heat went out. We have been renting from a private landlord who out of the graciousness of her heart was letting us stay here very cheap. After her husband looked at the heat on Monday, he realized that it was beyond his expertise but they were unable to afford someone to come out at this time to fix it. (They have never been landlords before, again just renting to us out of the kindness of their hearts.)

They then decided that it would be best to go with a property management company because they would in fact fix the heat upfront. They signed a contract with them and all was supposed to be good.

Yesterday, the PM company reached out to me advising that there would be some changes. They are almost tripling rent, NO pets allowed, minimum credit scores, security deposit, inspection next week, utilities changed by the 29th along with a massive list of rules for the property.

My landlord was not made aware of any of these changes and has been arguing with the company who has advised her that there is nothing they can do because they are "locked in a contract."

With that being said, we are no longer able to stay here. I'm waiting on the amount of days we have to move but my guess is 30 days.

We finally found stability and a home within this place. The kids were happy and thriving. Everything has been so perfect here. We were beginning to prepare the rooms for a nursery and get everything situated.

UPDATE: We have been approved for a rental but need $4,000 within 24 hours to move in.
