Moving forward for Bryce and Melissa
Donation protected
Melissa and Bryce, my childhood friends, recently made the difficult decision to leave the Bay Area in search of new opportunities. They placed their belongings in storage while they embarked on the adventure of finding a new home.
Just weeks before being ready to move, they received the heartbreaking news that an arsonist had destroyed their storage facility on June 14th. Everything they owned from housewares, children’s books and toys, including precious sentimental items, was reduced to ashes. Melissa's cherished mementos of her late brother and Bryce's grandparent's memorabilia were forever lost. The weight of their loss intensified as they realized that their seven-year-old daughter would also have to face the harsh reality that all her belongings were gone, just days before her 8th birthday.
Adding to their hardships, Melissa and Bryce had already experienced the sorrow of losing their grandfathers weeks prior within a short span of time.
Being the type of people that wouldn’t ask for help, even in such trying times, we decided to come together and raise funds to help alleviate some of the burdens that weighed heavily on Melissa and Bryce's shoulders. While we know that material possessions could never fully replace what they have lost, we hope to offer them a bit of relief as they start anew.
