Moving Furry Children to Maui

Hello Friends and Colleagues –

As most of you know, I have decided to leave Los Angeles and move to Maui, my childhood home. I am very excited to move back to Hawaii and I am lucky enough to be able to bring both of my dogs – Roxy and Kozmo. The land, the air and the ocean will allow them to live their best lives!

Originally the dogs were booked and confirmed on Alaska Airlines at a cost of $100 each to get to Maui. But unfortunately, last week I just learned by calling Alaska Airlines to double confirm everything is set that Alaska has denied Kozmo on the flight. Alaska will not take any Bull-breed dogs due to perceived breathing problems with these types of dogs. Kozmo is only ½ Pitbull and has zero breathing problems – but they still refuse to take him. And we just found this out just a few weeks before I move, even though the airline booked our tickets months ago and did not tell us anything about this.

Then, I just learned yesterday that Roxy is too big for the maximum crate size that Alaska allows so she cannot fly on that airline either. And I have checked all other airlines to no avail.

Needless to say, I am now scrambling to find transport for both Kozmo and Roxy. I finally found a service that flies dogs to Hawaii, but the cost for both dogs is $5995 total. This unexpected cost added to the already high cost of the move has put a real hardship on me.

I am sending you this Go Fund Me to humbly ask for a contribution to help me get Kozmo and Roxy to the island. No contribution is too small! And I really really appreciate anything you could do, if you feel comfortable.
