Moving to ATX: Help Me Achieve My Career Goals!
Donation protected
After more than 15 years of being in service in Baton Rouge Louisiana, I am ready to start a new chapter and expand my career as a massage therapist and industry educator.
Over the past couple of years after choosing to close my brick-and-mortar spa and transition to a mobile-based business, my life has been a whirlwind to say the least.
I've been spinning on a hamster wheel being stuck in Lousiana as a homebase since I bought my schoolbus in order to renovate it into a tiny house.
Well, I kept being told, "just one more month, just 2 more weeks, just 2 more months, and it'll be ready!" and at this point, I can no longer sit around and wait on outside circumstances and keep letting them control my present moment.
Yes, I am still renovating the bus, Yes, its about 90% done.
BUT... the a/c still isnt fixed it won't be for a few more months until I can afford to have that fxed, so my contractor offered to host the bus n his land to AIr BnB it out over the summer and fall and see how that goes before moving it to Texas. Plus... moving it in the middle of the summer won't work..... its just too brutal.
The income and career opportunities I have in Texas far exceed what will ever be available in Louisiana for what I am looking to achieve in the massage therapy industry.
Living in Texas and having it as a homebase has aways been a dream of mine, but not something I was able to achieve on my own, which is why I am calling on my community to help support my life & career goals so I can continue to UPLEVEL and give back to the indutry in big ways.
So I've been spinning my hamster wheel in Louisiana fo far too long. I shoud be driving backhere a couple times a year, driving to Texas every few weeks... saving on gas and time.
Being in Louisiana has me burning candle at both ends, discouraged, disheartened, and complacement with living in chaos... and I AM SICK OF PUSHING IT OFF.
The bus always "almost" being done has held me back for too long now, (waiting on other people's timeline) and I keep missing out on so much potetial, that it now extremely irresponsible to stay living in Louisiana and using it as my main homebase.
LOUSIANA HAS ME IN SURVIVAL MODE >
AUSTIN WILL HELP ME BE IN THRIVAL MODE!!
Austin is where I have always belonged. It's where I feel fullflled and happy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here are a few reasons I HAVE to move to the Austin area:
- unlimited income opportunities for me (and I'll actually get hired when I'm actually living there and not sporadic)
- close access to 3 international airports (can travel to teach more often)
- closer IRL support system & community (faster growth)
- access to in-person training with mentors (quality education)
- access to fresh produce / farmers markets (better for my health)
- overall cheaper insurance than Louisiana (save a ton of $)
- access to more classes & community events (better experiences)
- beautiful scenery & outdoors (better for my dog & mental health)
- access to better holistic health & wellness options
- better opportunities for b2b collaborations
- the music and art scene heals my soul
- great city for side hustles and popups
- no income tax!
That's just to start!
I like to also GIVE BACK to those who are so generous enough to support me.
Your contribution helps me:
- get settled with 3mo + rent in Austin
- moving trailer and gas
- bus mechanic expenses
- career supplies
- fees associated (such as driver's license and insurance change)
Everyone who donates any amount will recieve:
- Access to my new, exclusive tight-knit Facebook group, "BABs 2023 RADICAL RESET: Accountability + Support Group" (basically, a Badass Bodyworkers 2.0 that's JAM-PACKED with a ton of upleveled content)
- a Badass Bodyworker vinyl sticker (must include your address)
- a personal oracle card pull via FB messenger of Telegram (msg me!)
This is me stepping up to the plate for myself and asking YOU for help getting me to Texas in July (and the bus by the end of the year) and help push that domino forward after being STUCK for so long.
Have you decided to step up to the plate an make the move you're afraid to make?
