Moxie Hair Design Studio

MOXIE is a small, local, hair studio in Camarillo, California, that is  struggling desperately to survive.   Recently closed for the third time due to  Covid, they are operating with a negative cash flow and mounting debt. Moxie like so many of us, is in need of help during these hard times. I am reaching out to you hoping you will be able to help. Your donations will not only help Moxie, but also the 20 people it provides with employment.

I have known Kari, the owner, for over 25 years and I believe she is  one of the most generous people I have ever known.  Most impressive to me, she has welcomed 3 children, who needed love and support, into her home. I am humbled by her caring.
 
 While the studio is under lockdown restrictions it must still meet its rent. Still, Kari has been generous enough to suspend station rent for the stylists. The studio has been a big part of the community, helping local charities and businesses.

Moxie and other small businesses' survival will have a profound effect now and for years to come. Like so many small businesses they have faced 3 government shutdowns and when allowed to open are only able to work at 50% capacity. These restriction make it almost impossible for any small business to survive without some kind of help. The survival of small businesses is crucial to the current and future of our country and everyone in it, but especially for the future generations. Small businesses are responsible for over 44% of our nations economy and, in better times, 66% of new jobs.

 When they are allowed to open I encourage you to give them a try.  I have always gotten a beautiful haircut, a warm sense of community and a heartfelt welcome each and every time. Hope to see you there and Kari will pour us a glass of wine.
