Honoring Charles Chhnun Svay's Legacy
Donation protected
Hello family and friends,
I have created this GoFundMe, on behalf of my cousins, Chuck, Sophanna, Sophary, and Linda Svay. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of their father, Charles Chhnun Svay. He left this world peacefully, on September 21, 2024, and lived a life of love, compassion, and wisdom.
He was a man of remarkable strength and resilience, having survived the Khmer Rouge and built a new life for his family through sheer determination and love.
He deeply cherished his family, living every day for the love of his life, his wife, as well as the joy of his children. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he found immense happiness in spending time with them. He was such a loving, hands on grandpa and cherished every moment he spent with his grandkids. He devoted most of his time with his wife, running a donut shop that they worked so hard for, building their dream together.
He also found great joy in cooking, especially for his family and friends. He was an amazing man, and just appreciated all of the little things in life. His jokes were always my favorite, and his welcoming personality will be the things I will miss the most.
In his professional life, he took pride in his work, especially in delighting his customers by preparing fresh, delicious donuts, an act of care that reflected his generous and loving spirit. His warmth, dedication, and love will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We would also greatly appreciate any donations, which will go towards the service, flowers and everything that will be used for the temple/Buddhist prayers.
The Svay family appreciates everyone's well wishes and support that they have received thus far.. we will update this GoFundMe once we full arrangement information. Thank you.
