Adams Family House Fire Recovery!

On the coldest day of the year, our 10-person household was displaced by a house fire that started during a maintenance repair at no fault of our own. We had a vibrant community that we affectionately called the "Adams Family" (after the location of the house). Since evacuating, we have had to scramble to find alternative housing options, and we have several urgent financial needs. These include paying for temporary housing, food, moving trucks, brokers' fees, replacing damaged property, and more. Because our community includes individuals who are unemployed, living on paltry Ph.D. stipends, and working jobs that don't pay a living wage, it is vital to ensure stable housing for everyone.
