Mr. Bonner - Shooting Victim Recovery Fund

Donation protected
My dad, Mr. Roosevelt Bonner, was one of Pine Bluff's latest shooting victims on Thanksgiving night. As my Dad was driving home, he was unexpectedly caught between two vehicles shooting towards each other. At that moment, when my Dad realized shots were being fired, he was driving towards one of the vehicles who turned around to exchange fire with the other vehicle, positioned behind my Dad's truck. My Dad made the decision to lay down in his truck while maintaining control of the wheel in hopes to menuver around the shootout. In doing so my Dad realized he was shot but didn't know where. He proceeded driving to the nearby hospital while calling his wife informing her he had been shot. My stepmother stayed on the phone while my Dad frantically and courageously drove to the hospital. At this point through doctors accessing his injuries, my stepmom listened from the phone and realized he was shot three times. Turns out, the actions my Dad took in sheltering his head and body, leaving his arm on the wheel to drive away, sacrificed his arm and shoulder to be rittled with bullets. My Dad was headed to surgery while I was preparing to get on the road headed to Arkansas. Updated through my Dad's wife, the CT scan revealed the bullets remaining in his arm would have to remain lodged there. As removing them would cause more damage. Through His grace, the bullets slightly shattered a bone but stopped just short of hitting major arteries, which surely could have been a fatal hit on impact. As a result, the muscle and bone damage will cause for a long road to recovery. I had spoken with my Dad earlier Thanksgiving day, so he knew I was suffering from a bad cold. I add this because when he heard I was on my way there, he called from his hospital bed while suffering from gunshot wounds to tell me to stay home, get well and take care of myself first; stating he would be fine. I was shocked that my Dad would be so unwaverly prideful and selfless... but that's the Dad my family and I have grown to love.

This ordeal is unimaginable for my family and even implausible for someone in their 70's to endure. This is why I humbly ask for your continued prayers and support. Please share this gofundme page with your family and friends. 100% of funds will go to my Dad and his wife to aid in his recovery, medical liabilities and well-being.
