Mr Christmas’s Granddaughter’s Funeral expenses

For those who know “Mr Christmas” (Davis Plourde, an 84 year old veteran) of Albuquerque who has put on extravagant Christmas displays for the last two decades along side his wife Sandra, you’re no stranger to their generosity and kindness. Last week, while preparing for yet another year of Christmas joy and festivities, their world was rocked and shattered as their Granddaughter, who lived with them and they took care of, suffered a cardiac arrest. Doctors did all they could but unfortunately the Lord called her back home at a very young age. This time of year is already stressful for the Plourde’s as they set up, maintain, and financially fund the insane holiday display that they have created and maintained over the last 20 years. Now, on top of all of that, they are faced with more hospital bills, the loss of their granddaughter and funeral expenses, all stacking at once. As you can imagine, this is not easy for someone who is 84 years old and on a very fixed retirement income. As if things weren’t tight enough with their own medical bills, financial obligations, and supporting those around them they are now faced with all these added expenses at a very difficult time of year. So what we are looking to do is try and help ease some of the burden of these hospital bills, and the funeral/funeral services for them this holiday season.
