Mr India Project
Donation protected
Mr India has been a beloved institution in Newburyport for nearly 20 years. Run by Nepali immigrants - Ganesh, Ram, LB and family, who choose to live right in town, the COVID crisis has proven to be a major challenge particularly as adjusting to the new normal for them means more than just adding a few street-side tables. Until some improvements are completed, gov’t funding is limited. Codes and basic sanitation require upgraded doors, safety signage, fire suppression and improved flooring. Volunteers & donors have already gone far in the work helping but the project needs significant cash to finish paying for materials, professional carpet installation labor and taxes.
