Dear Family and Friends,
The sudden passing of our father and husband, Kifle-Ab Gebre-Ab (Kif), was very shocking and hard to accept. He was loved by his family, friends and the larger Eritrean community. As hard as it is to fathom carrying on without him, the love and compassion extended to us by everyone has made us realize that we aren’t alone and that we all share the pain of his passing. We’ve found solace in the love shown to him.
When we shared the tragic news, we never anticipated such outpouring support. We want to offer our deepest gratitude to everyone for your thoughtful prayers, kind words and contributions to the memorial fund. We can’t turn back time or have another moment with him, but witnessing how he has impacted each and every one of our lives proves that his values and legacy will live on forever.
The initial funeral service was held on October 08, 2020 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will wait to honor his wishes of being buried alongside his family back home in Hebo, Eritrea. Again, we can’t express enough how much your love and affection has lifted our spirits.

ብዕረፍቲ እነፍቕሮ ኣቦና/ኃውና: ክቡር ኣቶ ክፍለኣብ ገብረኣብ ሚካኤል ኃይሉ፡ ምሳና ኾንኩም ዘተሓዘንኩምና ዘጸናናዕኩምናን ዘበራታዕኩምናን፣ ብቴሌፎን ኮነ መልእኽቲ ብምስዳድን ሓዘንኩም ዝገለጽኩምልናን፣ ኣብ ጸሎትኩም ዝዘከርኩምናን/ሞን/፣ ብገንዘብ ዝደበስኩምናን፣ ዝተፈላለየ ዓይነት ሓገዝ ዝለገስኩምልናን ዝተሓባበርኩምናን፣ እግዚኣብሔብር ይሃበልና፡ ሕሰም ኣይትርከቡ፡ እንዳበልና ምስጋናና ንገልጽ። በቲ ዝሃብኩምና ግብረ-መልሲ፡ ኣቶ ክፍለኣብ፡ ብኹሉ፡ ክቡርን ፍቁርን ከምዝነበረ ተረዲእና ኣሎና'ሞ ክብረት ይሃበልና። ንኣቶ ክፍለኣብን ስድራናን ኣብ ቐጻሊ ጸሎትኩም ክትዝኽርዎ/ና ብትሕትና ንሓትት።
ኣቶ ክፍለኣብ፡ ብ08 ጥቅምቲ፡ 2020፡ ኣብ ኮፕሩስ-ክርስቲ ካቶሊክ ቤተ-ካርስትያን፡ ብሥነ-ሥርዓት ቅዳሴን ፍትኃትን፡ ብመቕርብን ፈተውትን ተኸቢቡ፡ ኣብ Stone Mountain, Georgia ግዜያዊ መቓብር ዓሪፉ ኣሎ። እዚ ከዓ ብሰንኪ ሕማም ኮቪድ-19፡ መንገዲ ንግዚኡ ጠጠው ኢሉ ሰለዘሎ፡ መንገዲ ኣብ ዝተኸፈተሉ ግን፡ ከም ለበውኡ፡ ኣብ ዓዱ ሔቦ ኤረትራ፡ ክንቐብሮ ኢና።
ናይ ስነ-ስርዓት ቅዳሴን ፍትኃትን፣ ከምኡ'ውን ንሕይወት ኣቶ ክፍለኣብ ብኸፊል ክገልጽ ይኽእል ይኸውን ዝበልናዮ ስእልታት ጥቢቆ ነካፍለኩም ኣሎና። ነዚ ክሕግዝ ዝኽእል ስእልታት እንተለኩም፡ ኣብዚ ኣልቡም ክተእትውዎ ብትሕትና ንሓትት።

Dear family, friends, and community residents,
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of Kifle-abGebreab Michael. Kifle-ab died unexpectedly on October 2, 2020 from natural causes in his home in Atlanta Georgia. He was a beloved member of the Eritrean community but above all he loved his family and kept their interests his priority. Those of you who knew Kifle-ab may remember him as a vibrant personality who would give the shirt off his own back to friends and family if they needed it. He took extreme joy in helping others! This fundraising money will go to Kifle-ab’s funeral, and his last wish of being put to rest peacefully in his native country Eritrea. We, the family want to thank everyone in advance.
