Mr. Pat O'Malley's Road to Recovery

It is with a heavy heart that the O’Malley Family shares the news of an accident that happened on Saturday, September 16th.

Mr. Pat suffered a life threatening spinal cord injury while swimming in OCMD. He was flown to Shock Trauma and underwent surgery to fuse his C3 through C6 vertebrae. As of today (September 23rd), Mr. Pat is in critical condition in the Neurological ICU on a ventilator battling pneumonia. At this time he has extremely limited feeling and no movement.

Our family is anticipating a long and difficult road ahead and we are asking for your support. With Mr. Pat unable to work and the mounting medical expenses, we hope the funds raised will lighten the financial burden and alleviate additional stress.

We are taking it one day at a time, currently focusing on Mr. Pat fighting off pneumonia and being able to breathe on his own. We will post updates here as often as we can.
