Mr. Racette's Battle W Lymphoma (Still Fighting)

Hello,

My name is Dan Racette. For the last year I have been battling Lymphoma. The first round of Chemo last year wasn't as effective as the doctors had hoped. It slowed the Cancer for a while, but couldn't eradicate it. The only thing it wiped out was our savings accounts.

Now it appears I am going to need a second round of Chemo as well as a specialized treatment plan known as CAR T Cell Therapy.

That's probably going to run us into the 10s of thousands, if not more. Insurance will only go so far on this. Even then, there is some question as to whether or not it will be successful.

I really didn't want to resort to asking for help, but my friend has finally managed to convince me that there may be people out there who would like to help, but don't know how. Well, between him and my wife (and the thought of leaving my wife and children in a financial crisis if, God forbid, I don't survive the treatments) I have agreed to let him help me create a Go Fund Me account to help with the bills.

I know a lot of people are going through difficult times right now, with the economy the way it is. Sadly, Cancer doesn't seem to care about the economy.

If times are tough and you can't help financially, all I ask is that you share the post. Just once. Maybe somebody you know will be able to help. It's true what they say, "Anything Helps".

If nothing else, take a moment to think of me, and know that I am Still Fighting. And if you know me, you know that I'm not one to let ANY opponent win without one heck of a fight.

But the Chemo and CAR T Cell Therapy aren't free. And I'm asking for any help in covering the medical expenses. I realize that the goal amount won't cover all of the expenses, but that's how much the Chemo drained from our accounts last year, and I would like to at least get a head start on paying for the next round.

At any rate, my thoughts and prayers for a healthy and happy life are going out to all of my friends. Stay strong, and I am stronger knowing that you are in my corner for this fight.
