Mr. van Hoeijen, living with ALS
Donation protected
Unexpectedly getting an ALS diagnosis was a big shock for me and my spouse. My life went from planning for the next thirty years together to planning for the next one or two.
ALS is a terminal illness. There is no cure. ALS can take your life within months. Some people manage to live with ALS for a few years. All people will experience muscle function loss from onset, until they cannot breath sufficiently, and life ends.
We have to now think about buying a grave, paying for meds (because the insurance company will not cover them yet,) flying to Montreal to help Doctor Genge out with trials and to receive experimental drugs, etc., etc.
Any financial help is very appreciated. Nothing can cure ALS yet but your help will take some of the worries and obstacles to treatment away.
Thank you!
Bert
