My name is Jimmie, most know me as “Wheels.” I’ve been in a wheelchair for 30 years due to gunshot wounds, after all of these years I’ve still managed to look on the bright side of life. Unfortunately, there are many obstacles that come with being in a wheelchair. Having the same wheelchair for over 15 years not the most difficult would be the chair breaking and being outdated. I have had to fix my chair numerous times and right now it is rigged to get me by until I am able to afford a new one. It’s time to get a new wheelchair but insurance does not pay for a chair that suits the needs of my disability which leads me into asking for help. For a decent suitable chair, the cost can range around $3500 or more. I ask for any donations possible to help me reach my goal in finally receiving a new wheelchair. As soon as l reach my goal for the new chair l will be donating my chair to someone in need of a better chair then what they have now that’s about to break in half
