Once you walk into the Daylight Donut shop you are always greated by Mr. Jay with his warm and welcoming friendly attitude.
If customers didn't have enough money to pay, he'd say "you can bring it to me next time!"
When he'd go pay his bills, he would always bring a box of his donuts for them to share. He always has a smile on his face and is such a people person. He would also raise money for the kids of St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, in memory of his grandson, Brady Mortimer. So loving and giving to others.
On January 24th, Mr. Jay underwent a quadruple bypass surgery. Since then he's been having complications and continues to be in the critical care unit at St. Francis Hospital.
The donut shop was his life and his source of income. The shop has been closed since his surgery, medical bills & monthly bills are starting to rack up.
