Alyssa Shenk has been a dedicated advocate for the Snowmass Village community during her 10-year tenure as a member of the town council. She champions the importance of giving families a strong voice in local decisions and uses her platform to thoughtfully enhance life in the village for residents and visitors. Alyssa adopted the connectivity plan that provides for safer pedestrian crossings; she is actively advancing the workforce housing and town park master plans; and she was vocal in her support of family friendly Base Village amenities such as a skating rink and summer fountains.

Alyssa earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Juris Doctor Degree and Certificate in Dispute Resolution from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. A 17-year resident of Snowmass Village (20 in the Roaring Fork Valley), Alyssa balances her role as a mom of two and wife with commitments as a Snowmass Mountain ambassador, director on the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) board, chair of the Northwest Council of Governments (NWCOG), Pathfinders staff member, and Aspen School District volunteer. Her contributions to the community have earned her the title of Volunteer of the Year for the past five years in the Aspen Times 'Best Of' edition.
