FUNERAL SUPPORT FOR AKOLE JIDE' SWIFE

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Well-wishers,

It is with a heavy heart that I reach out to you, on behalf of my colleagues, to share a deeply sorrowful situation concerning our dear friend and colleague, Olajide Akole.

On February 12th, 2024, Jide's beloved wife succumbed to a prolonged illness—a sudden lung problem that deteriorated rapidly and required life support. Her courageous battle, which began in September 2023, sadly ended, leaving Jide and their two young sons behind. Jide, a graduate of Sheffield Hallam University with an MSC in International Business Management Class of 2022, is a gentle, disciplined, and kind individual. Many of us fondly know him as "Jide" from our postgraduate days—a man always ready to lend a helping hand.

Jide's wife and their two boys had relocated to the UK in December 2022 to support him during his academic pursuits and seek better opportunities for their family. Tragically, her health deteriorated, leading to her hospitalization on December 18, 2023. Despite her brave battle, she peacefully passed away on February 12, 2024, after being on a life support machine for over a month. May her soul rest in peace.

The hospital did all they could, but unfortunately, the financial burden now falls heavily on Jide's shoulders. With the responsibility of caring for his two sons, managing bills, and fulfilling work commitments, Jide is facing an overwhelming and challenging situation.

We are reaching out to you, our community, in the spirit of empathy and solidarity. The funeral costs are substantial, and Jide needs our support—financially, morally, and physically. Funeral expenses in the UK are significant, and any contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in assisting Jide during this difficult time.

Sincerely,
Agunbiade Tosin
