Medical care and support for Mrs Beatrice Fisher

Hi my name is Annette Fisher and I’m raising funds for my Mum who is 90 years old. She’s been diagnosed with a tumour in the brain lining. The tumour has caused pressure on the left side of her brain that has caused life changes. Her mind is as sharp as ever though.

One moment she was living her usual life, and next, a seizure shook our world, landing her in hospital.

On 29th July 2023, Mum was admitted to hospital and was there during August and September. She has returned home with life changes. Her condition is being managed with medication as surgery was considered too risky at her age. Now, we find ourselves standing at the crossroads of change. Mum’s sudden health issues have redirected our life’s journey too.

She’s still our matriarch and beacon of strength and joy.

We’re still adapting, work priorities are shifting and our personal lives are changing quite rapidly. She needs more home care and carers 3 times a day.

We’re appealing to you for funding to help make those home improvements that will make her life a bit easier: Though we’re so grateful for the NHS service, it’s not what it used to be. 

We urgently need to support Mum with some private care as well to improve her health outcomes. To pay for nurses, ongoing care and support for Mum in her recovery. It’s likely she will continue to need care regardless and to get her the best care will come at some considerable cost. 

Life is too short and time is of the essence. Please give before Christmas.
