Mrs. Deepa Nepal

Hi, my name is Smriti Singh. Today I’m trying to fundraise for someone I know back in Nepal.

This is the story of 51 years old Mrs. Deepa Nepal.

She had her first medical encounter in 2013 when there was a growth in her uterus, and she had to undergo surgery to remove her uterus entirely.

After this, her life continued as usual, and all her family felt like a blessing for how well she had recovered, but that did not last for very long. In 2017 she was again diagnosed with a new lump on her right breast, which was confirmed to be cancer upon biopsy. After this diagnosis, she had to undergo another round of surgery to remove the lump from her right breast. She also had to undergo an extensive cycle of 8 chemotherapy sessions and 32 separate radiation processes to neutralize the cancer cells. After all this, she recovered and became a strong cancer survivor.

Despite all this, with time, patience and having withstood rigorous medical treatment, life for her seemed to return to normalcy. She resumed her work, and everything seemed like it finally had fallen into the right place. But again, life was not finished putting her to the test. In 2022, she felt a small lump on her left breast, and due to what she had already dealt with in the past, she was immediately alarmed to visit the doctor’s office. Given her medical history, the doctors immediately rushed to get another immediate biopsy done, and yet again, the test results showed positive signs of cancer cells. The nightmare of cancer that she thought she was over with had returned. She now has to go through the whole treatment process involving chemotherapy, surgery, and the full round of radiation sessions.

As we know, medical expenses in Nepal are no joke, especially when it comes to going through the cost of it not once, twice, but three times. However, this time around, her financial conditions are not stable, and she is not fully able to afford all the expenses. Her relatives are trying their best to help with whatever they can, but this time it is getting more complex than we had imagined. So, here we seek help to try our best to help her with medical expenses.
