Help Ijay honor Her Mum's Memory

Dear kind-hearted Friends and Family, This campaign was borne out of the sheer desire to assist and support our dear Friend, Colleague and Sister, who recently lost her dear Mother, post complications from a successful brain tumour surgery. Her beloved mother’s demise happened after a protracted illness, through continued treatments and physiotherapies from 2020, up until the final battle with a brain tumor this year, 2024. What started as a manageable sickness, unfortunately came to a tragic end, by midnight of November 16th, when mummy transited peacefully after the successful surgery, due to other complications. As a single parent, Ijay is one self-determined, self-disciplined and self-motivated loving soul, resilient, thoughtful, and full of selfless love for everyone who gets to know her. She is the kind of friend who would give her last dime without a second thought, and right now, she needs our support more than ever.

She is an international student who is running her post-graduate program in pursuit of a better life for her only child in Canada, but the strain caused by her mum’s medical expenses and now burial scheduled to hold by 2nd week in January 2025, back in her home country in Nigeria, may jeopardize her chances of successfully concluding her program next year and attaining that better life she seeks to give her child. Ijay’s mum was her EVERYTHING. Their bond was one of those rare, unshakable connections, filled with love, laughter, and a deep understanding that only mothers and daughters share.
