Mrs. Zamora’s 1st Grade Classroom

I recently saw a quote on social media talking about the importance of school. The quote said some children that feel loved at home come to school to learn. Where as other children come to school to feel loved. Working at a title one school, this is definitely the mix I see. I am a first grade teacher at an Albuquerque, NM elementary school where 100% of our students qualify for school lunch. Given our demographic, many families struggle with providing school supplies and other items at the beginning of the year and even throughout the school year. Because of this, I spend a good amount of my paycheck on supplies, items and even food for my students. This year I am fundraising for my classroom and first grade students.
