Hi I’m Bella and I’ve created this fundraiser as last week this beautiful little girls mum noticed her acting strangely and just being really unlike herself. She began to have restricted movement in her right hand side, was sleeping all the time and wasn’t really eating. Her temperament began to change and her mum could just tell she wasn’t herself so she booked her an appointment with their local gp. From there her mum was directed to take her straight to emergency for a scan. The same afternoon they found out there was a mass on their 2 year olds brain and they would be flown to the children’s hospital. After a plane ride down they arrived to find out the mass appeared to be a tuma roughly the size of a golf ball. They were told that a CT scan and biopsy would be done the following day 30.08.24. The 31.08.24 came around and they spoke to neurology and were told they were sending her for a CT and straight to surgery as the tuma was bigger than they first thought. After roughly 7 hours of surgery the decided to leave the remaining tuma in there as Indyanna had endured a lot encountering brain bleeds and her little body wasn’t coping. Indyanna will have to endure another surgery as they will have to close her scalp up once the swelling goes down. They are currently awaiting results from pathology to confirm what the time is. Yesterday they reduced the muscle relaxers which allowed Indy to slowly get some movement back, and today they have removed her breathing tube and reduced the sedation. Indy and her parents still have a very long road
Update: thankyou to everyone who has donated. The last 24 hours have been touch and go since surgery, they are awaiting results from pathology. Indyanna is taking small steps in the right direction with some minimal movement (this is on the left side which was functioning normal prior to surgery). Tonight 1.09.24 they removed the breathing tube and had success. She is putting up a good fight. We are awaiting pathology results which will hopefully be back in the next couple of days. They do know their little girl at least need another surgery. While Indy is making steps in the right direction it’s still a very long road ahead.
