Ms. Amy will dance again!
Donation protected
Ms. Amy was in a terrible bike accident on Friday afternoon and she is currently at SF General Hospital still in ICU. Her lower leg was smashed by a car as she laid under a parked car for what seemed like forever. There was a brave Spanish speaking woman who called 911 and also gave a statement to the police verifying the car ran a red light.
As a beautiful dancer, the possibility of not having two feet to dance on is heart breaking. Ms. Amy has an incredible family who has been by her bed side since Friday. I visited her on Saturday morning and through her very pale skin and sad eyes she smiled at me.
As she climbs the uphill battle of standing, walking, riding her bike and DEFINITELY dancing again, she will not be able to teach right away. I am collecting donations that will help her financially during her recovery time.
In addition, if you know of a person you can highly recommend, I think Ms. Amy would appreciate:
-a reference to a kick butt physical therapist
-probably a good mental/trama therapist in general
-and a personal injury lawyer
I will be visiting her on Friday and will bring her all the good wishes received.
