Ms. Black Maryland USA 2024

Greetings Family, Friends and Friends I have Yet to Meet !

On January 13, 2024 I was given the honor of being selected as Ms. Black Maryland USA 2024. Founded and established in 1987 i Maryland, THE MISS BLACK USA™ Pageant and Scholarship Foundation is a trailblazing organization redefining what it means to be a courageous, compassionate and confident woman of color.

Born and raised in Prince George’s County, I am a proud graduate of Eleanor Roosevelt High School (Greenbelt, Maryland) Science and Technology and Child Development programs. With this strong foundation I continued my academics at Drexel University then the illustrious Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine earning Bachelor of Science, Master of Science in Forensic Medicine and a Doctor of Medicine degrees, respectively.

Emboldened by my experiences with medical missions to Ghana, the Dominican Republic and Haiti, as well as, personal experiences with biased healthcare -even as a physician, during my year of service, I am establishing initiatives that create “generational health” by promoting medical literacy in an effort to improve morbidity (amount of illness or disease) and mortality (death due to disease) rates within the Black community.
