Ms. Epley Needs Our Help!

On January 9th, Christine Epley, was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. This pneumonia was so severe that it resulted in both heart and kidney failure and a hospital stay of more than 15 days, her recovery, now more than 8 weeks has made for a trying start to 2017.

This fight still isn't over. While she's hoping to be able to return to work in March, there is still more fluid in her lungs that will need to be addressed, likely with an additional procedure. The emotional burden of fighting for her life has been trying enough, when you add in the financial struggles associated with needing to be on disability, wanting to be mom to her son, and get back to her beloved 2nd grade students it quickly gets overwhelming. 

Over the past weeks and months, many have asked how they could help to make this easier for Ms. Epley. At this point, she could use the same helping hand she has given to so many of her students and their families over the years.  We want to try to ease this financial burden, and help cover her bills since she's been on disability due to this unexpected illness.  

We are Dayna, and Julie, long time friends, and former coworkers of Chris. All money donated to Ms. Epley will go to help ease the burden of these first few months of 2017 and help make sure she doesn't recover from pneumonia and still need to recover financially after.
We're going to start small at $2,500.00, and hope to raise the bar, and get higher to be able to really help aliviate the stress of trying to recover physically while worried about finances.
